Final Fantasy is one of the biggest game franchises in existence, starting with the first one released in 1987. It is also the longest living franchise with its games spanning all four of the PlayStation consoles. This game is world renowned for its impeccable storytelling and character development, with top of the line graphics and quality gameplay. The original version was an eight-bit game with turn-based interactions, and it has progressed drastically since. With an open world ready for exploring and a wide range of quests and storyline options, the Final Fantasy games have come really far. The franchise actually developed one of the most intense villains from any media in history, with an iconic rivalry to match Tybalt and Romeo to set a par for storytelling. The game has never focused on the actions of the player, but instead has been primarily to use this medium of entertainment to convey a beautiful and touching story involving a wide range of intriguing and relatable characters. That is why people have been so adamantly obsessed with the release of the newest addition of this game. The newest release, Final Fantasy XV, though, is not quite living up to its buzz. The Final Fantasy 15 release date for this game was on November 29th, 2016 and you can check out more in-game features about this game on the Final Fantasy 15 official website for more details.

The Storyline Of Final Fantasy XV

Eos is the alternate Earth that the characters of the game exist within. This planet has been segregated into three separate continents, each with their own kingdoms. Lucis, Accordo, and Niflheim are the primary locations for the protagonists and supporting characters within this tale. Lucis possesses a magical crystal, which was a gift to the dynasty by the deities. Accordo, formed by free trading cities, is the most democratic nation in this alternate world. Niflheim houses the oracle, a primary character within the story, and it is the most technologically advanced place on Eos. Lucis and Niflheim are warring countries, currently at a stalemate. The game opens with the countries declaring an armistice. The protagonists for this game are Noctis Lucis Caelum, the crown prince of Lucis and the primary played character, and his fiancee, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, who is an oracle and the former princess for Tenebrae. Tenebrae is the dynasty in control of Niflheim. The story follows these two as they interact with the world around them, and influence the political climate within the game.

What Is The New Cover System?

This newest addition of Final Fantasy has changed some things up within the game series, with different features being integrated to enhance the gameplay. The Cover feature has been added to influence the battles for the characters. The name is fairly obvious for the feature itself, indicating that the player will have the bonus ability of taking cover during onslaughts from enemies. The player can jump into bushes or hide behind existing features in order to prevent against damage. This peculiar addition is not odd because it is revolutionary, but because Final Fantasy has consistently been a turn based game with an options menu. Other games have improved their battle scenes with this option, but Final Fantasy has caused an uproar within the fanbase and the community because of this difference. The hardcore fans seem opposed to the change of pace, because it deviates from the originality and old school appeal of Final Fantasy. This has made the reviews for Final Fantasy XV rather mixed, with some defending the change and others slaughtering it. The cover system for Final Fantasy XV definitely has people talking, though.

Gameplay On The PlayStation 4

Final Fantasy XV breaks away from tradition yet again with the gameplay on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The lack of loading screens and transitions is notable for any dedicated Final Fantasy fan, though this change has been much more well-received within the community than the cover system. The PlayStation 4 is the newest console developed by Sony, and it has a wealth of resources at its disposal to generate the best gameplay possible for every game. Final Fantasy XV is no exception. The graphics are incredible, and the controls are very easily understood.

With a decipherable tutorial that offers even the most novice players an in depth transition into the game itself, the setup is understandable and user-friendly. It is an easy game for saving and picking up at a later point as well. The PlayStation 4 offers the Final Fantasy 15 game a great home for its storytelling platform, and this medium of conveying a story is simultaneously beautiful and interactive. The fact that it utilizes an impeccably popular console for its primary gameplay is an excellent call, though it would not be fair to non-PlayStation 4 owners to make it an exclusive. Final Fantasy XV is available for other consoles to generate the best method of story conveying around.
