Titanfall 2 Is Not as Fast-Paced as Its Predecessor, but It’s Still a Blast

Titanfall 2 combines first-person shooter combat with parkour as you get the protagonist Jack Cooper and his friend the Titan BT-7274 out from behind IMC lines. It is designed to be suitable for players of all skill levels, so the parkour scenes do not require you to move as quickly as some other parkour games do.

Titanfall 2 Plot

Titanfall 2 is set at a distant point in the future in a remote set of outer space colonies known as the frontier. In this dangerous world, humans fight on foot and also through giant powered exoskeletons known as Titans. Most of the time, the citizen soldiers of the frontier, known as pilots, are fighting against the Interstellar Mining Corporation, a company that has grown into an evil corporate empire.

Titanfall 2 Characters

The main protagonist of TF 2 is a pilot named Jack Cooper, and the other characters are other pilots and Titans who are fighting alongside Jack in their rebellion against the IMC. In the dystopian world of TF 2, however, it is not always easy to tell who is a friend and who is an enemy. In the game’s multiplayer mode, you can play against other players, and when test audiences played the Titanfall 2 beta version, they could not always tell whether their opponents were other players or whether they were non-player characters operated by artificial intelligence.

Titanfall 2 Gameplay

Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter game, but shooting bad guys is only part of the adventure. Since the object of the game is to get back to safe territory, parkour also plays a big role in the game, so you spend as much time zip-lining and climbing with and without grappling hooks as you do engaged in gun battles. During the most intense parts of the gunfights, the perspective changes back to third person. You can even use your invisibility cloak.

Titanfall 2 Graphics

To say that TF 2 has cinematic graphics is an understatement; its animation actually moves at 60 frames per second, which is two and a half times as fast as the animation in animated films made for cinematic release.

Titanfall 2 Multiplayer

One of the best things about Titanfall 2 is that you can invite friends. Titanfall 2 is essentially a multiplayer game, so that you and your friends can join networks of players. Networks in Titanfall 2 are similar to guilds in some other games. When you invite friends, TF 2 is even more fun than when you play with strangers. Unlike its predecessor, though TF 2 has a single player mode.

Titanfall 2 Visceral Combat

Combat is the real draw of Titanfall 2, so much so that some reviewers have said that the game lacks a story. The array of weapons you can use in the game is huge, everything from throwing knives to grappling hooks to sheer firepower. Each model of Titan comes with its own special arsenal of weapons.

For example, Scorch specializes in incendiary weaponry, with Tone uses lock-on weapons, and Ronin has a huge sword. You can even project a hologram of yourself in order to befuddle your opponent.

Titanfall vs. Titanfall 2

The original Titanfall game was released in 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It was praised for being an exciting action and combat game that, unlike many other games of its genre, was accessible even to novice players. One criticism that was made of the original Titanfall was that it could only be played in multiplayer mode and lacked a single player mode. Titanfall 2, on the other hand, can be played as either a single player or multiplayer game. Another virtue of both Titanfall games is that their artificial intelligence non-player characters are much more complex in their behavior. When you fight against an AI character in the original Titanfall or in Titanfall 2, you do not feel that you are playing against a bot.

Standby for Titanfall 2

“Standby for Titanfall 2” has been a popular catchphrase during the anticipation of the game’s release. As reviewers have played the Titanfall 2 beta version, Titanfall fans have been eagerly waiting, or standing by, for the new sequel. TF 2 received three nominations at the 2016 Game Critics Awards, and it won the award for Best Online Multiplayer game.

Look out for Titanfall 2, the new futuristic combat game from Respawn Entertainment. The game debuts this month on October 28th, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. As in the original Titanfall, man and machine do battle, and your success depends on strategy, skill, and quick reflexes as you use shooting and parkour to get Jack Cooper out from behind enemy lines and back to safety.
