A highly anticipated first-person shooter of the Battlefield series, the game is set to be released on October 29th in North America, October 31st in Japan and Australia and November 1st in Europe. Battlefield 4, which is a sequel to Battlefield 3, will be available on PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, as well as the new Xbox One and Xbox 360. Suit up for mayhem and chaos – it’s going to get rough!
Battlefield 4 Story
Set in the year 2020, Battlefield 4 sees you take control of Sergeant Daniel Recker, in single player mode, member of the elite special ops unit known as “Tombstone.” Together with your squad in the story, you navigate the unruly chaos that surrounds you as you attempt to salvage what appears to be the last hope for global peace. You are sent on an intel mission to Baku, Azerbaijan. While there, Tombstone is discovered, and fighting through hordes of hostile Russians becomes the only way out. Upon boarding the USS Valkyrie, suspicions of a planned coup in China are confirmed, and then the story unfolds.
Battlefield 4 Multiplayer
In Battlefield 4 multiplayer mode, several Battlefield 3 elements return, as well as some from previous installments in the series. 3 Factions will be playable in the game (Russia/China/US) and it will support up to 64 players on new generation platforms. “Commander Mode” returns in BF 4 multiplayer, and a new “Spectator Mode” will enable spectating in either 1st or 3rd person. BF 4 also brings back the Battlefield 3 kits—Assault, Recon, Support and Engineer-although they’ve been upgraded. Additionally, BF 4 multiplayer will deliver new weapons, gameplay mechanics and amphibious assault.
Battlefield 4 Commander Mode
Battlefield 4 Commander Mode, which last made an appearance in the Battlefield 2142 game, will allow Real-Time Strategy viewing of the complete BF 4 map and enable players to dish out orders to other members on the team in BF 4 multiplayer. Furthermore, as the Commander in Battlefield 4 Commander Mode, one has the ability to see through the eyes of other players during gameplay, making it possible to coordinate strategic attacks and offer strong support to ground troops in the heat of battle. You can make your team aware of enemy whereabouts, supply them with ammo, launch missile and gunship strikes, and more.
Battlefield 4 Amphibious Assault
Battlefield 4 amphibious assault will be another excellent feature in Battlefield 4, judging by the trailer on the official website, delivering electrifying sea-based combat for a truly realistic experience. In Battlefield 4, you’ll face raging winds and crashing waves, have access to offensive patrol boats and compact water crafts and be able to pilot amphibious assault boats that deliver devastating attacks to enemies at sea, on the coast or in the air. If you’re into war games, this is one title you can’t afford to not have. Battlefield 4 will surely bring a new meaning to the word “battle.”
